Indian Dance

Indian Dance is perhaps the easiest to recognize but also perhaps the hardest to master. The moves involved has been passed down from generations and often require their own specific music. However, the cultural familiarity makes it easier to relate to, as well as enjoy. We try to blend it with modern music as well, in order to give it a contemporary feel, however, the students can always choose what they like best. Some of the dance styles covered under this category are:

Western Dance

Western Dance is easily one of the most popular types of dances that people wish to learn. The moves for each style are radically different than the others and the same can be said for the music as well. There is also a lot more physicality involved as they don’t have the easy body movements like thumkas to fall back on while transitioning between more complicated moves. However, the hard work is completely worth it since the results are that much more appreciated by both the dancers as well as the spectators. Some of the dance styles in this category are:

Bollywood Dance

Bollywood Dance is easily a category in itself as it involves thousands of individual dances that have been painstakingly created to match each individual song. There is hardly any area for improvisation unless you are trying to recreate the entire piece, which is a fun process in itself. We enjoy helping our students learn these dances as most are all about showcasing your skills and being in the spotlight, which is great for ensuring that the dancers have enough confidence to perform anywhere.

Wedding Dance

Wedding Dance has evolved a lot over the years. It started as friends and family going berserk to whatever the DJ is playing. But these days it also involves carefully choreographed dances dedicated to the couple, that are performed by the same friends and family. It also has the additional caveat of keeping the entire performance upbeat to match the tone of the celebration. Our instructors especially enjoy working with students in this program, as it gives them the chance to make people happy by creating amazing memories.
